347 stroker
hey guys, i have a 95 gt that im currently in the process of modding. i was just going to leavee it at h/c/i but im far enough into it now i decided why not spend about 3k more and go with a 347 stroker from d.s.s racing. before i do it though i wanted to get some input. how do you think the trickflow twisted wedge heads will work on it and what kind of cam should i go with. also how big should i go with the injectors 30lbs? any info you can give me will help thanks guys.

I am running the trick flow twisted wedge CO1 heads on mine they are 205 cnc ported version with my 347 i have not got it in the car yet cause I am waiting on a few more parts but I talked to some very experienced people and thats what they told me to go with and i had jay allen grind me a cam. I would definately go custom grind. I am using 30 lb injectors and my maf is calibrated for them due to their recommendations. you should contact jim @ FordStrokers.com 331-347-393-408-418-427 stroker kits and ford parts. he is a genius and can help you a lot

+2 on what's been said. TW heads, custom grind cam, and I would do 42# injectors.

Have you thought about doing a 351 based build? For relatively the same amount of money, you could have A LOT more displacement.

i have thought about going the 351 setup but most of the things i have now will work on a 347 but im not sure about a 351 based block. but now you got me thinking about it what would i have to change if i went 351 instead of 302?

pretty much jus the bottom end, most the things u have now will most likely work on a 351..its a very good idea, somthing i wanna do for sure cause my heads and manifold will fit on the 351 bottom end..u jus gotta have the heads drilled for different size studs i think it is..somthing simple like that and thats all..and it has more potential than a 347

so the heads and intake will work? i was told that the heads would but the intake wont because that block has a different deck height or something like that. also will it bolt up to the tranny or do you have to change bell housings.

A 302 lower intake will not fit a 351 because of the different deck heights.
As far as I know, the bell housing fits both. I thought I saw somewhere that the 302's had 7/16" head bolts where the 351's have 1/2" head bolts. I might have mistaken this with the main cap bolts...I'm trying to find the info... |

And I also recommend Jay Allen for a custom grind cam. He's the best in the business.

347 here built by Woody from Ford Strokers. I'm running AFR 185 heads, and a Jay Allen cam. My mods are in the garage. If you're looking for a MAF for 30lbs injectors let me know. I have a Pro-M with only 3500 miles on it that I'd sell you. I'm switching to a different set-up.

I reccomend he at LEAST gets 36# injectors... my MILD 331 has a 98% work load with 30# injectors... definately look at some bigger injectors... ohh and +1 to going with Jay!
