are all 94-95 manual transmissions t-5s?

yes..unless it was replaced..but they only cam with t-5s (for manuals)

thanks that what i thought but i wasnt sure so i thought i would ask because i have a feeling that is the next thing to get rebuilt.

Why are you going to rebuild it? How much power are you making? How hard do you drive your car?
I say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I know the T5's aren't very strong, but I've seen people run 600+hp engines with the stock tranny. A lot of how long it will last has to do with the way you drive it. Hard launches from a dig don't sit well with your transmission. |

i never said i WAS going to rebuild it, bugt there is a chance cuz my car is still stock right now and something doesnt feel quite right. also i will be putting it through some abuse after i finish the engine. i also dont see it making 600hp at least not for a few more years.

what doesnt feel quite right about it? maybe we can fix the problem before it does damage.

If you plan on making a good amount of power one day, you might as well just go with a different transmission than building up your T5.
I'd go with a TKO-600 or a T-56. |

right now it doesnt shift as smoth as i would like, sometimes it gets a little hung up. and a couple of times i have had it pop out of first when i went to take off. i couldnt figure out why it did it and one day sitting at a stop light i noticed sometimes it only goes half way into first and thats when it pops out. but i dont know why it wont go all the way sometimes. so if you have any ideas im all ears. also i may go with a different tranny in the future but i dont have the money right now, and from what ive been told t-5s are pretty cheap to rebuild.

well u might have to adjust the "throw" in ur shifter..i would change the fluid..and u might need to get some new synchros..

i will have to look into the shifter but it just seems wierd that it only does it on occasion but hopefully that is all that is wrong with it.
