Posts pics of the smoked tail lights after you get it done! I've thought about smoking mine, but I think I'm going to leave them they way they are.

no they didn't do the engine bay... and yes it was worth it.

and 93mustank... that's a nice lookin car and a good price. but the cost of materials alone for my job was close to $1000. It's a 3 stage color... and extremely hard to find. guarantee you won't see another mustang painted the same.

She looks great Will! 5k is reasonable if it's quality work. My Dad spent over 3k about 5 yrs ago to have his Monte Carlo SS painted and now it looks like shit.

It Just Got Keyed!!!!!!! This Is Some Bull Sh*t!!!!!

lowp51 - I'm not exactly sure where I'll be meeting my friend... but it's gonna be another couple weeks before I get down there. I'll be sure to hit you up when I come down...

You guys arent gonna believe this - but this past weekend my car got fuc*ing KEYED!!!!!!!! not 2 weeks after I got it back... there's about a 4 inch gash on my pass side door right under the mirror. UN-FUC*ING-BELIEVEABLE!!!!! I cannot believe there are ass holes out there that would just do that shit for no reason. I was an hour and a half away from home too, and I didn't know anybody up there, so it's not like I pissed anybody off. I just don't get it.

If any one out there has ever keyed a car - shame on you - and F-YOU too!

The shop said they can fix it for me no problem, but they are gonna have to take the car back and they have to re-spray the entire door and blend the fender!!! DAMMIT THIS PISSES ME OFF!!!!!!!!!

ok, rant over. i'm sure you can understand how upset I got when I saw that someone had put a huge gash in my $5000 paint job....

Not to be an Ahole or anything, but I hope that car looks ahell of alot better when your are standing next to it, for $5K.

I'm not saying it looks bad, it look real good, and I can see the sun is not giving your camera a real good chance.

All I'm saying is for $5K, you should get a bad ass paint job.

You know, 5K isn't bad nowadays. I mean 5-7 yrs ago it might have been a 3k paint job but with the way the economy is nowadays everything has gone up. Do you realize the work it takes to paint a car? If it was painted in a bake booth that booth alone is a good 100k. It allows the paint to bake on the car and what used to take a few days for paint to cure now only takes hours.

Will, sorry to hear about the key job. You're lucky the shop is gonna take care of it for you. Post up pics after your Richmond trip. Oh and now would be a good time to go to your local tint shop have have a clear vinyl bra put on your front bumper and edge of your hood to prevent rock chips. It is made by 3M and comes with a 5 yr warranty. If I can find some more info on it I'll PM you the link.

Yes it really is a bad ass paint job. The camera seriously doesn't do the car justice. I will post pics after I get the scratch fixed and the car lowered when I get down to Richmond.

And yes it was painted in a bake booth. They had the car for 3 weeks prepping it. It's a lot of work to paint a car, and I had to get a considerable amount of body work done.

Eric - if you can find some info for me on that bra let me know. I'll ask the shop about it when I take the car in there next week and see what they say.

^^^ true that!

the shop isn't going to charge me. they had wanted to re do an area by the right rear side vent cuz there is a small air blemish. I can barely see it, but they are truly perfectionists and they don't want me to leave it. it's gotta be perfect. lol. i'm not arguing... so they would have to blend into the door anyways, so they said they would just hook me up!
