Is this H Pipe good quality?
I removed my H Pipe today. I filled it full of water and found a pin hole in one of the welds. I had some industrial strength J B Weld, so I put some in the small hole and sealed it up.
The H pipe says "Off Road Use Only". Is this a decent looking H pipe? I don't know if it is "home made" or not. Is it worth putting back on the car? Thanks!

It's also worth a ~11rwhp gain over the stock catted H-pipe.

Does that plate in the pic only say "for off road use only" in small stamped letters? If so, it looks like an older MAC h-pipe. You could sand the entire h-pipe and spray with with high-temp aluminum color paint and be set for a while. VHT high-temp paint is good stuff. As far as quality, if it fits good and doesn't leak, it's good for now.

Hey,
Thanks Guys! I will get some high temp primer and paint soon and spray it. It seems to be in pretty good shape. I just didn't know if it was a "home made job" that needs to be replaced or not! I am really happy with the car so far. |
