95 gt exhaust
Ok so i have a question that no one can really answer ..... here it goes..... I have a 95 GT and have heard that a cat back from a 96+ will fit but the X or H pipe wont ... is this true and what exhaust parts from the 96-98 4.6L will fit a 5.0? as im having trouble finding a decent priced exhaust for my 95 and i can get some nice prices on cat back systems for the 96-98 4.6L if they will fit

i have a 95 5.0 and i would personally just look for what fits on the 94-95, that way u know it'll fit and you don't have to go back and forth wasting money. i have shorty headers and an x pipe on mine with the stock mufflers and it sounds real good, you could always upgrade the mufflers later on, i picked up 5-10hp give or take. but i'd just go with whatever they make for our cars...

ppl say that long tubes are better and will net you some extra hp and tq, which i'm sure they do, but shorties are a bit less expensive and they'll still net you some good number, its all on how much you want to spend.

I put a 3 inch h-pipe on from a fox to my 3 inch mac system the brackets which hold up the h-pipe had to be modifyed alot and with the dumps on it,it bolted right up but when I installed a 3 inch kit from mac that goes all the way out to the back I had to add about 2-3 inches to the exhaust system to make it go to the h-pipe

On my fox I have a full MAC setup. Mac shorties, o/r h-pipe, and mufflers dumped. Sounds damn good but I would rather have an o/r x. I clamped on some tailpipes I got for free and it sounds mean as hell. Took them off though because i need to get them welded on. MAC FTW
