e-brake problems

Hey guys i have a 95 gt and my e-brake is not very strong. It will barely hold on a steep hill. I have new brake pads. Is there anyway to tighten it up or something? Thanx in advance

slowly back the car up and pull up on the lever fairly strong, dont jerk it but pretty hard.....repeat this several times and you should start to notice it getting tighter.

+1 you should also make sure you holding the button on the ebrake handle in so you can let it up and down without it jerking from the handle locking in place.

Yes reverse I dont know why but thats how you tighten it. It keeps your callipers adjusted. We used to have to tell people with automatics to use their ebrakes even though you dont need it cause it helps keep your brakes adjusted.
