Lower Intake Question.
Just wanted to know how much different increase(if any at all) in horsepower would it be in I changed my lower intake to a cobra gt40 intake and of course I'd go with an aftermarket upper intake too? Can anyone help me out with that?

if you swapped to a GT40 or Cobra upper/lower intake, you will probably see 15-20 rwhp from the swap. your heads are really constricting you though, so I would highly recommend you look for a new set of heads too.

If you're maxed out with all the other external bolt-ons you might gain 10rwhp with a GT40/Cobra/Explorer intake alone. If you also add a pair of Explorer GT40P heads the total gain will be about 35rwhp.

thanks for the input everyone. I'm still undecided what I am going to do, but need to decide quit because as soon as I get my money in, I'm going to put it into my mustang.

He he. I could buy Explorer GT40P heads and an Explorer intake from ebay at a total cost of less than $500 but unfortunately for me, it would cost about $1300 to ship them to the UAE.
The 5.0 V8 Explorer was never sold in the UAE so the chances of me finding one in a junkyard are next to nil.
