Actually I took a lot of bling off. The changes are subtle. I pulled off most of my chrome covers: the PS pump, radiator cap, brake fluid reservoir, overflow bottle, washer fluid. I swapped out the steel braided hoses in the back, swapped out the 5.0 upper intake plate, took off the battery connector covers, took off all of the corrugated hose covers, relocated a couple of things off of the friewall, rotated the 1st piece of the CAI so the sensor is down and out of sight. Others wouldn't notice that stuff if they didn't know my engine like I do, but yeah that's pretty much it. I like subtle changes. I've had it since new back in '94 so I get bored with it every once and a while, and what I liked before, changes over time. I guess like most of us do if you've had your Stang long enough. Cleans things up, which it what I was going for - just a new look for this year, you know what I mean?

Hey Husker...good to see another clean black stang from the corn state
![]() I was wondering where you got your MSD cap...the only ones I can find are red. I'm going for a similar look with my car. I just got rid of all of the blue finally (replaced with black like yours), but still have a ways to go before it looks like that! Mine is definitely not "blinged" out...about the only thing on my engine that is shiny is the radiator cover and the cold air. I'd like to add some chrome bits, but don't want to go overboard or start getting cheesy. Your engine bay looks perfect...a nice balance between subtle add ons with a little flair. Good job! |

Thanks for the compliments, man. I found the black cap on MSD's website along with their Street Fire wires & ordered everything through a local AutoZone. Probably can order it through the closest auto parts store, but I priced them at O'Reilly and they were a lot more $$. AutoZone matched the price on MSD's site. They had the parts 2 days afer I ordered them.

Right on - This doesn't happen to be the one you ordered, is it? This is actually the only black one that I could find. If you had the exact part # (or if this is it - 84083), would you mind letting me know? I'll toss up some pictures of my bay once I get it and the wires on. I'm well on my way, but you've just given me inspiration to keep trucking on the detailing. Props again, I can't get over how great that looks.
