What do I really Have with my 1995 5.0 ???
Hello, to all. I am an owner of a 1995 GT. I would like for someone to give me some information on what I really have. Is this worth the investment? This car has alot of the basic upgrades, exhaust, gears, pulleys,
suspension. I have owned a few of the Fox body 5.0's years ago, but now with this 95' I am at a loss. It is my understanding that most of the 5.0 parts do not inner change with this year? Is this right. I am looking at building another motor for this one, should I go with the 93' model? Thanks for any imput you all can provide. |

i don't know who told you that but they are wrong. There are some PCM changes and a few other things, but for the most part, the block is the same.

he's right, almost everything engine-wise is the same except for the water pump. as for the electrical, almost everything's different like the dizzy,MAF,TB just to name a few and in some cases a bit pricer too. as an owner of a 95 i love the car for it's styling design. but i hate it also cause the engine bay is so damn cluttered and it's hard to get around all that sh*t to work on it. but granted it looks neat and clean. the 87-93 Fox's aren't so cluttered but they also look like a rat's nest.yet working on it's a breeze...

Thanks 95 OldYeller and Screemin302. You have given me some hope that I did not make a wrong purchase with my 95' How much of this engine is interchangeable with the 93' and below? Are the heads and headers able to adapt to mine? I am considering doing a mild rebuild, should I begin with a 93' block so I have the TRW pistons? I am not looking for alot of HP, I just like the additional thump that a good cam,
an upper\lower, and possibly a nice set of heads cam provide. Look forward to your imput. Thanks, Tim |

the headers i think will bolt up fine but you'll have to cap off the EGR tube. cause the 87-93's didn't have the EGR bung on the header like the 94-95 do.

everything i have read suggest that the headers will not bolt on cause of the bends. but the heads will work fine. all 87-95 have the e7's heads
