very tough decision to be honest. truthfully, im not a fan of black wheels at all, but yours looks awesome with the FR's. then again, black cars deserve chrome wheels. so how about you get a new set of tires and keep both and switch them out when you feel like it

I've thought about that too, and believe me wish I could. But times are tough at work as we've cut our hours by 20%.
The least expensive thing to do is to just get them mounted and balanced.

I suppose if I wait long enough to save up the cash I'd be able to swing it.

The Y2k's are a bit unique, but I honestly think that the FR500's look waayyyy better! They are extremely clean looking rims on your car, and if I were you I would definitely keep them on there. I think I might possibly be in love with your car man...

Man, I keep going back and forth.

I like the FRs in this pic It's a little fuzzy, (I think it looks a little more aggresive than the Y2ks?):

This one too (Taken before I put on the black grill pony):

Seems most opinions are split right down "party lines"; Chrome wheelers vs the Black wheelers, lol. I like this style of black wheel because the aren't all black.

I'm in no hurry, I may just sit on it for a while.

I like that style too and thats why i painted my stock 5 spoke ponys like that. i tried to leave the chrome lip, but i only have stock to work with, does cobra's are NICE. But every where i go i see people with black rims. mini vans, hondas, and more of the (hubcap less, look i have black rims too) donut looking everywhere. I sometimes wonder what if i go white. and then i think of weird colors and then it turns to 22's so its all funny.

I need to start getting tires! My car was spinning all over the place these past couple of days with all the rain and i think i need to get the t-lok and some new axles and gears cause i lifted my car the other day and the driverside rear wheels will lock up cause of the transmission but the pass rear spins freely. MONEY!!

This was the main reason I wanted to swap. Everyone & their Grandma are running some sort of black wheel and some look pretty cheesy. There are tons of imitators out there. And a lot of people that "try too hard". I wouldn't put a non-Ford specific wheel or rep wheel on my ride though. I think that's where people get screwed up.
But the more I thought about it, and the philosophy I have is: if they are the right black wheels, on the right car, then you could pull it off.

I think they work on my ride...

lol please do!!! haha... I can get that you are torn between the two, because they honestly do both look good. But you said it ^^^ the fr500's give the car a much more aggressive stance - which is much better in my opinion. I don't like black rims on ANY other car except a black mustang. Whenever I see another car with black rims, but when I see black rims on a black stang like yours,

Thanks. I decided to keep the FRs on. I'm glad that I didn't put the Y2Ks on earlier last week like I planned to. It gave me more time to rethink everything.
