sn-95 , swap in a 351

hey i'm new to this forum, and i know this has surely come up before, but i'm really stuck on putting a 351w into a sn-95 body style. i have a 351w sitting in my garage. its a later model set up for both injection or carb.(meaning i have the set up for both) i have a friend with a 96 6cyl dead engine. i can do alot of the work myself, and i know i have to do the susp., and rear, and trans. but will the wiring be good for the fuel injection? also i know i should stick to a 94-95 gt for this project but this car is real clean and the car i can get for 400 bucks. i have a doner car in the back of my uncle body shop. its a 94 gt totaled from being hit in the rear. so i'm looking for some real knowedge in the subject. the cost factor, and time and energy factor. so pics of it getting done would be great 2. thanks

I don't have extensive knowledge in this swap ....BUT I do have a buddy with the exact same swap . I know your best bet would either be go carb or get a stand alone pms , and i think you will be fine getting the 96 .You might have to change the k-member ? But I know the t-5 will work with the 351.

Stand by for the experts !!!!!! They will be able to give you some more detailed help!!!!!!Enjoy your new torque monster.....

im doing a 351W swap with a C4 in my 96 Modular chassis....

Carbed with no electronic computer crap... just a 6AL ignition box...

as any questions you might have... you have to swap the K members over... and tranny mounts and driveshaft lengths, but other than that its really pretty straight forward...

Fox MAC 351W swap headers 1 3/4 into 3 inch collectors do clear too

yes i have seen that on this site. just trying to get a real feel for the project.i hate surprises and we all know working on cars is all about surprises. so i dont want to go into this project half a$$. i want to get it done as quickly as i can because i am restoring a 65 fastback, and i dont what to get side tracked to much.

hey man i am currently doing a 351 swap in a 94 cobra, but as far as the 6cyl goes no you do not have to change the k member just use 94-95 convertible mounts. Go with the carb, fuel pressure regulator and a holley black fuel pump youll be alright, i have done this alot and has worked very well. I have even put a 5.0 in a 99 v6 without changing the k member but thats another story.Go for the swap i promise you wont be disappointed, just make sure you get rid of the 7.5 and put an 8.8 rear.

I've done this swap. Not hard at all. I'd highly recommend a tubular k-member while you have the engine out. There are plenty of engine swap headers out there for this swap. Since you have a donor car, use the computer and wiring harness from that car if you want to keep it EFI. Edelbrock and Trick Flow make a bunch of different EFI intakes for this swap. You will need a transmission and an 8.8 rear axle also. Its not a hard swap if you have some mechanical ability.
