brake Question
how much of a improvement are the 99-04 gt brakes to 94-98 brakes? only askin cuz a friend of mines is upgrading his 02 gt brakes to 14" bears, and said i can have his twin piston breaks w/ lines, newish pads and rotors for like 30 bucks

With the newer stuff you will probably feel somewhat of an improvement over what you have now. But don't expect a huge difference. If you're brakes are in question now, that would be a good option for you until you can afford a Cobra brake upgrade.

I just did the Cobra front brake upgrade and it's fantastic:
Brake Upgrades That said, the PBR dual piston caliper swap from a '99-'04 GT would be the next best thing and will also save 9lb in weight. All you need are the calipers, brackets, pads, and hoses. The '99-'04 GT 10.8" rotors are the same as the '94-'98 GT units so they're not an upgrade, but you can keep them as spares though. You'll need to flatten off the round edges of the spindle bolt holes in order to fit the PBR calipers but otherwise it's plug n' play.

did the swap, they do feel a bit more grabby than the stock ones

Did the cobra front brake upgrade a few years ago. I'm not much of a racer so I don't notice much difference in performance. Looks much better cosmetically though. Fills the inside of the rim.
