It doesn't matter how recomended the shop is, $1100 in a set of GT40P heads is a waste. You could have bought a good set of heads for that price. I guess it doesn't matter, you are stuck with them now and if all of the work was done properly you can rule the heads out as your problem. If the problem started after swapping heads then you need to look at everything involved with the swap. Vacuum leaks, wiring, rocker adjustment, etc.

yea, thats why i'm going to get it dyno tuned as well as get a basic tune up. see if that would fix the problem. yea, i know i could've gotten a nice set of patriot heads, but oh well. i guess i learned a valuable lesson. i got a flow chart with the heads, and with
.500 lift it flows 214cfm, i know i could prolly get more out of patriots or similar head.

Patriot heads would have been a bad choice. $1100 would have got you a nice set of used Twisted Wedge heads and rockers. 214 @ .500 isn't much more than what P heads flow stock. What are the numbers at .300 and .400? those numbers are more important than peak numbers.

Check for vacuum leaks and scan for codes. It could be a real simple problem.

no codes thankfully, might be a vacume leak, but i'll check out all possibilies. i'm not sure what it flowed at .300 and .400, i think in the 160's and 180's.
