Almost stalling when shifting into gear

1994 5.0 auto, anyone know why it's almost stalling when I shift into gear? It's got new plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, battery, egr unhooked. Doesn't happen everytime i shift into gear, but it's beginning to be a nuisance.

Can't remember as I don't drive the car much. But idle speed has never been a problem. IT doesn't surge up and down or anything.

start by cleaning your MAF and IAC and TPS... sounds like the extra load from the tranny is causing an issue. those would be a good place to start.

I've done all that you mentioned, even replaced the idle air valve. but the problem continues.

I would service your tranny. If you dont want to do it take it is a good shop and have them flush it and do a service. if you have the doe put a transgo shift kit in there while they're at it. I love mine. But get the tranny serviced and go from there. U might have a bad TC in there too. Just throwing ideas at you .
