Just picked up a black 1995 Mustang 5.0 for 650.00

Paid 650.00 for it.

Overall it's in good condition. Engine is in great condition, 120K miles on it. Automatic Transmission needs work, drives fine, just needs to be repaired eventually(Already getting another to replace it)

Paint isn't absolutely horrible, but it's faded and one of those ones that looks good when far away but up close it looks pretty crappy. So I'm just gonna start sanding it tomorrow and primer it, then paint it black soon hopefully.

Interior is black, with black leather. Leather needs to be redone on both front seats, not horrible, but an eyesore. Backseat's pretty good.

My question is this, I've got a 2006 GT that's due for some new tires(premium 18 inch fanblade wheels) and now that I've picked this up, I'm curious if my fanblades will fit this '95 5.0.

I occasionally go through all the other mustang sub boards here(I usually just browse the 05-09 board) and from time to time, I think I saw that some people said they will fit, but you need spacers to get them to fit?

Any info would be appreciated.

Also looking for complete interior if anyone has them for sale, also looking for a complete bodykit(stock or aftermarket doesn't matter, preferrably stock, but as long as it's not some ugly thing like a bomex kit or ricer shit like that I'm fine)

Haha, I plan to. Never had a 5.0 before, this bodystyle appeals to me more, so it's basically a win/win in this case.

Hopefully I'll have a procharger or some from of FI lined up for the car once any of the kinks I run into are ironed out.

No thanks, got this because I'm wanting to work on it myself. Already have a procharged c6, so any urges can wait till I get the rest of this stuff outta the way.

Edit:Well that, and I don't want to spend 5,950.00 dollars more. Nice car though, clean.

Looks like you've got yourself an excellent project vehicle but be prepared to spend a few paychecks on repairs and mods. The best place to start is with the mods that cost next to nothing:

Free Modifications
Weight Reduction

I'll take a few once I get home in a little while. It's clean for its age and overall condition, but still not very acceptable imo.

Here's the engine pictures I just took:

Only thing that bothers me about the car is the fact that not only did the old owner put that bigass fake hood scoop on, but also that the owner drilled the damn thing into the hood.

I guess it's not too bad, it's just a reason to get a small cowl hood or something now.

Oh, any chance anyone would be able to answer my question above? About if the wheels from my '06 (can see it in the background of the picture from the front of the sn-95) which are 18 inch premium fanblade rims would fit on the '95 GT? It's time I get some new tires for my 06, but if these will fit, then I'll just go and get a new set of rims and tires altogether for the 06 and pass these over to the 95.

as far as the hood scoop being drilled in....I would just pop it off and fill the holes, not exactly shiny new paint...LOL.. I dont think you will notice too much....actually the paint under it is probably nice and shiny so you will notice...just get some scotchbrite and make it match....nice find even if it was doodoo brown ...cant beat the price....it actually runs and drives?....nice virgin car too...still has the stock air box so I am guessing she has 0 mods....

Yea, already thought about filling them in and everything, but this way I get a nice aftermarket hood and a reason to do it haha.

Car's completely stock front to back except for the radio.

Runs great, when I was driving it home, I let a friend drive my s197 and did a little red light racing with'em. It pulls pretty well, nothing amazing obviously, but pretty strong right now. Haven't had any problems, I've been driving it around since I bought it to make sure there aren't any problems I'm missing, so far so good.

There is some electronic part on our transmissions that is known to fail, I will see if I can find the name of it...its like 20 bucks to replace and if thats your problem I suggest fixing it...I drove mine without fixing it and wasted my trans so I had to rebuild the whole thing. Talk to dan his screen name is silverfox @ Click Click Racing about beefing up or rebuilding your trans. He builds them to hold 700-1000 HP and really reasonable on prices. I got an 4r70w upgraded valve body with manual shift for about the price of a shift kit...He can also sell you all of the upgraded parts and tricks to build the tranny or do it for you...I know I have been pumping his name a LOT on here especially lately but my trans is done and bad ass and he was really cool when it came to helping me out

I'm interested to hear about the name of that part you're talking about. Thanks.

its called a MLPS sensor and malfunctioning causes erratic shifts....and said to be prone to failure on our cars... Think this is eventually what killed my transmission
