You need to be concerned about more than just the intake for that rpm. What heads are you using on this engine? What about camshaft and valvetrain?

DSS doesn't make heads. You need to figure out what your goal is for the car and how much money you have to spend. Why do you want to spin 8000+ rpm? Is this a dedicated race car? How fast do you want to run with the car?

this is a dedicated race car. i want the car in the mid to low sixes in the 8th mile to start with. when i said dss heads i meant that i was gonna order a set of air flow research heads from dss. dont know if i should get the 185cc or the 205cc. As far as money goes its really not a factor. im goin to take as long as i need to build the car right the first time.

What size engine do you plan on running? I wouldn't use AFR heads.

You don't need to turn anywhere near 8000 rpm to run mid 6s in the 1/8 with 200hp of nitrous. Do yourself a favor follow this link Camshaft Innovations - SBF195

Get the Canfields and a CI cam. Mid 6s will not be hard with nitrous.

i appreciate it... ive got another question for ya. ive got an 8.8 rear end out of an older coupe with thats already been regeared with .410 and it has strange 28 spline axels. i know the rear end is shorter than the 8.8 out of the 95 but i was told it would hook harder than the stock 8.8. is this true and would it still bolt up to the suspension on the car?

That rear end is going to do nothing for you. Those 28 spline axles will not last in a car that runs low to mid 6s in the 1/8. It isn't going to hook any harder because its shorter. It will bolt in but it isn't going to work for what you are doing.
