help me (high idle and miss)

I just bought a 94 gt I love this car but it has had an over sized cam put in it and its a 5 speed. when you give it gas it taks a few minutes for it to idle all the way back down, its like the throttle is getting stuck but i checked it and thats not it. Also when you wind it out it starts to miss any info would be greatly appreciated. oh its the 5.0 ho. thanks for your time

could be a dirty idle-air control valve thats causing the idle problem.

Idle-air control valve is a great place to start, pull it off and hose it down w/ crab cleaner and that might fix it, they're kind of pricy so try that first, now the high rpm miss is probably a ignition problem, get rid or the stock cap and rotor, the msd one looks cool and you can get it at the parts store, new wires may be needed, to check them you can do an ohm test or just wait till its completely dark, start the car, pop the hood and look for "ghost wires" or a "lighting storm" If its a problem you will know what I’m talking about instantly. then get some good replacement ones (msd if u got the money, autolite pros if you don’t, they have lifetime warranty at advanced) and take time to run the wires in holders and away from things like the engine lift eye on the right, then plugs, don’t go crazy here you will be disappointed, just go name brand platinum (no plus 2 or 4 crap) then gap them don’t trust the "pre gapped" B.S. just do what your Haynes manual says. Now there may be something else but that’s fixed this problem for a lot of my cars.
