Car misses on start up.

My 95 5.0 gt seems to miss when i take off in 60/70 degree weather or less. Its fine when it gets warmed up, but before my engine warms up it runs funny and kinda sputters a little bit until I get up to speed. People Iv asked have told me there might be something wrong with the wires. Right now I have auto light wires. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Mine does the exact same thing... We just need to let our cars warm up a little before driving off after start off. When you turn it on, you just need to let it run at idle for about a minute then you should be good. Just as Lind said, it's running rich while it's warming up, so just let it warm up. It's not a big deal.

Scan for codes and see what if anything shows up. Some ECT test might be needed as well. This is not normal.

Tried the scan tool, couldn't find anything. I have been letting it warm up but I just think it's odd because it never did that before.

Is there any metal type dust in the bottom of the distributor when you pull the cap off?

If the engine only acts up when it's cold and runs normally when warm, the chances are that either the ECT or ACT sensor (or the wiring to them) is faulty. Have them both tested.

I scanned for codes. Code 543 showed up, something to do with the fuel pump. Could that be the problem?
