simply because of replacement cost...though it was basicly the same car, the demand was alot less and it was by far not feature rich...therefore the cost of replacement under an insurance claim was less..it was somewhere in between a V6 and the GT....more because of the motor but less because of value...(i claimed my old gt under gts because it was about 14 less per month thru state farm)

No what makes you a newb is the fact you thought I was being a dick, I was simply stating the facts

The lack of a rear defroster has no significance at all. My wife's 97 Saleen Speedster doesn't have one either. It has leather, power everything and a premium Mach 460 stereo, but no defrost. Maybe because it was a Southern California car originally? Maybe because Ford was out of stock on switches or something? Who the hell is ever gonna know the answer? Manufacturers don't neccessarily make every single car roll of the line with the same OPTIONS.

Good question though, I had never heard of a GTS until today.

Welcome to the forums, NEWB!!!!!!

Who cares if it's a GTS or GT you don't have a rare car, my 97 has no power accessories, big deal who cares. Get over the GTS or GT be happy you have a v8.

I thought that the GTS was made to try and replicate the 5.0 LX.

You guys say they're not that special, but I bet in 30 years, the '95 GTS is worth more than any of the modern Shelbys.

I highly highly doubt that......a shelby vs. a car that has no power accesories, oh wait but some do, some dont have this, some have it...a shelby vs. a car that has no consistency what so every and was built to be as cheap as possible. Thats like saying a fox body lx would be worth more than a cobra....either way I dont think you are going to see too many normal mustang gt's or gts's rolling through barret jackson....

If you think so then here is a deal for you

You have to understand why the current batch of $100k+ muscle cars are in the position that they're in. Back in the day, these cars weren't looked at as investments. Shelbys languished on lots. The reason that '71 Hemi 'Cuda convertibles are 1 of 26 is that no one WANTED a convertible hemi 'cuda, and the few that were made were special orders.

Real GTSs will increase in value later, because everyone EXPECTS Cobras and neo-Shelbys to be worth money, so there's a metric fkton of them that are preserved, low-mileage cars.

Some people get it... Others don't... Oh well I will just hold on to my 12K mile GTS and in 10-15 years we will see. Any how I like the fact that I own a piece of mustang history...
