lincoln mark viii rear end?

could i bolt in a 1995 lincoln mark viii rear into a 1995 gt. is it like the t-bird and cobra irs?

It will bolt in but it is a 1/2" wider on each side than your stock rear end.

Why do you want to use the Lincoln rear end? The only difference between it and your rear end is the additional width.

because the lincoln is irs, and i like the whole set up. having a 03 cobra i'm just like having it now. 1/2" i wonder if that is to much for my 18x9 rims. if i did the swap would the rims stick out to far?
a guy is selling his mark viii down the street from me. its hit and has been sitting for some time. i would love to use the engine in my 1965 fastback, or save it so another project down the road.

Oh shit, disregard my last post. I thought I read Mark VII, not Mark VIII. I have no idea if the Mark VIII rear end will work. I was refering to the older Mark VIIs. Sorry.
