New Owner - Engine Idle
Just got home, stuttering and spluttering, with my new 1994 Mustang GT!
It's a beauty, except for really bad idling - basically it runs at 1200 rpm, then drops to around 600, and then back up - and it does this regularly, almost like a beat rhythm. Above 1500 rpm it runs smooth. I've read a few posts where people say it's common - considering that I will need to fix this myself with a Haynes manual - where do I start and what do I look for? |

I've got a 00' gt that did the same thing for a while b/c i got some exhaust put on that was leaking. Apparently the rear O2 sensor was not reading enough exhaust coming through or something. Alot of people have problems with the same dropping rpm's b/c of the CIA building up with carbon. Sometimes you have to buy a new one, but I have seen a website that showed how to clean them. I'll see if I can find it again.
