Procharger D1SC
I just bought a 94 GT Vert and ordered a D1SC with 3 core intercooler. Does anyone have one of these. This is my first supercharger and I will buy or build another motor for it but I plan on installing it on the stock motor to play around and get familiar with tuning.
Other planned mods before bolting on SC are as follows: 3.73 gears Slicks Through floor frame connectors Torque box plates Roll bar Ladder bars or traction/lift bars, (do the lift bars really work?) Can I get away with bolting this SC on the stock motor with 15 lbs of boost with stock injectors or will it go boom real fast? Any suggestions? |

In my opinion, I think that the stock motors are safe with maybe 8 lbs but I think that 15 lbs will discinigrate the internals real quick.

you will blow it up if you run 15lbs of boost on a stock motor.. tune it to around 6-8lbs & it will be pretty nice out there on the street.. i just wouldn't go above that..

I was looking at the Keith Craft motors. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them. The only thing that worries me is the "fully machined production block". Does anyone have a recommendation for a motor I can put in this car and put the Pro Charger on and run 20-25 lbs of boost?

yes lift bars really work i had the lakewoods on my car.
and u going to have to get a ford racing block or a man o war block and build it up with AT LEAST some 42lbs injectors and a 255lph fuel pump to run ur minimum 15lbs pounds of boost and forged internals. and then at the point after u have completed ur shortblock could u crank up the boost even more to 20-25lbs of boost. the stock blocks are only good to around 450rwhp thats what i mentioned getting another block for ur car being stock i wouldn't recommend going any higher than the 8psi especially with the crappy hypretetic pistons that come in our motors from the factory. also there is no way i would bolt on a supercharger with the stock injectors and fuel pump thats just asking for trouble

Not a good idea to learn how to tune on a forced induction motor, unless you have some truly knowledgable tuner to help.
