rebuild?I want to get it rebuilt and built strong enough to take a supercharger or maybe even a turbo charger. Any recomondations on parts or even rebuild kits that would be needed for this application would be much apreciated. |

you should add forged pistons and a main girdle maybe if you want some scat i beam rods.a forged crank and h beam rods are a waste of money if the block can only handle 450hp.

buy a built 347, all forged of course, and then you can add a power adder if you want.
with 160k miles on that engine, you prolly won't be able to do much with it, unless you bore it, and get all new internals, which again i would suggest the 347 stroker. |

Whats your budget? The reason I ask is many peeps say I just want oh 400 450hp and dont realize the $$ it takes to do it properly and wind up tossin money away doing it twice. Now if you understand where im coming from and you still are looking for 450 or whatever the best thing to do would be to start w/ a dart or similar block and go from there. The easiest way is to slap a stroker kit in it and go, but thats not the smartest thing to do either. Im not saying your gonna loose the block right off the bat but you will be playing w/ a time bomb. I gave you a little insight do with it what you want but I know doing it twice cost more than doing it once. good luck
