It's very hard to get even a ballpark estimate of HP from a list of mods...

220 or so at the flywheel, maybe 175 or so at the wheels.

If you really want to know how much hp your making then you need to take it to the dyno and quit guessing. It really doesnt matter how much hp you have anyway, it is how you put it to the ground. For example, the new GTO has 400hp, but a Mustang with 400 hp will blow its doors off. So what I am trying to say is that you can have alot of horsepower but if the rest of the drivetrain sucks, it is all for nothing.

What year? 94 and 95 cars only made 215hp at the crank.

94 GT and was told it was low.

* correction also had a bbk cai.

i had bbcai, bbk pulleys, fr headers, bassani catted x, bassani catback, and 10* timing.

had 3 runs and that was the highest outta the 3.

210 at the wheels with only those parts is a real generous dyno that needs calibration.

I never said you were lying. I just said the dyno isn't accurate which could be a number of things beside the dyno too. Chassis dyno's are not known for their accuracy especially Dynojet like they use.

which is why a few of the mach owners were saying it was reading low. some of them had dynoed over 300hp just 3 months prior on another dyno. then on this dyno they mostly all were below that. confusing. but i can understand it being off, i still think it was close to what it read back then. (changed cuz i got some more parts.)

so to the original poster..
dont read too much into these threads, noone can tell u where ur at. getting it done and having people guess is 2 dif things.

i dug up my pic. my sheet is somewhere in a pile of receipts, but im sure from the pic u can see its close enough that i wasnt bs'n. so heres one of my crappy runs, i guess it should be worse from what these guys think.

it goes up and then down.

btw guys im not trying to make this a big arguement. im done actually.

from someone on another board.

"i dont see what the big deal is, some cars will put better numbers than others, not all 5.0's put down 190 at the wheels like Ford rated us. It depends on how its been maintained, how its been driven...yada yada yada...i'd be happy if i put down 180 at the wheels, i've heard of stock 5.0's with only 40K on the clock only putting down 145 at the wheels..."

I've run on a Dynojet too. I was just stating the facts. The guy that I normally go to showed me how a chassis dyno can be manipulated to read higher and lower. Wheel placement on the rollers even has an effect on how a chassis dyno reads.

Yeah man, I wasnt trying to argue. All I am saying is that, it seems a little high to me. I have a pretty nasty little stroker and I am only making 290hp and 350tq at the wheels.
