Clutch Kit?!
Now the i have my steering problem solved in the mustang, and wiring is a bit better. cut the un wanted wires and car is driving better electrical wise. got rid of most of the signs, only left with heat and check engine sign.
Next step is to solve the gear problem. I am going to change the clutch and looking for a replacement clutch and the same time will change bearings of gear stick so i can get the gears in and them remain in (at the moment the gears get out if the rev goes over 5k). i found the following clutch kit from ebay, could you confirm will this kit fit in my 302, 1995 5.0? i think i should have a t5 in my mustang but cannot say anything for sure. and also i think the firewall has been removed and gear has been changed from auto to manual. so, should i get the clutch or should i look for something better? and also what can i do with the firewalls? is there anyway i can get firewalls???? |

You need to stick to a 10.5 Clutch and a 10 spline thats the two things you need to worrie about it.ITs the same for the 5.0 and 4.6 cars not until mid to late 01 did the 4.6 cars come with a 11 inch clutch.
So Any clutch that says its for a 86-00 Will fit your car I would go with this clutch if i were you. http://www.americanmuscle.com/kingcobra.html Stock Pedal feel with alot more clamping force its a Great all around clutch for a replacement. the clutch you listed i would not put in my own car. you get what your pay for with a clutch and its only a matter of time before that $70 clutch comes apart, just my .02

Ram Clutches are good sure, but when compared to a King Cobra i wold say the King Cobra is better. Im personally a fan of Center Force And many other people like Spec (I don't) but then they start to get quite expensive. The King Cobra clutch has been around for Year and Years and is still IMO The best dollar for dollar clutch. But like i said this is mostly my opinion some people will tell you other wise and you don't have to go out and the the King cobra by no means but i would hate to see you buy some Cheap junk and have to replace it 2 months down the road because the clutch disk exploded or something stupid.

ordered, and is on its way...dont tell me you want me to cancel it!!!
after the clutch kit...am thinking about a short shifter...and after those two, i will start with the engine...i feel like the cams in the mustang are changed by previous owner because i get more power on accelation then normal mustangs of friends at lower RPM's then what they get on the higher RPM's or is it normal for a SN95 5.0??? |
