Timing

What should my timing read on a stock motor with 14 degrees of base timing at idle with the spout in?

The timing is going to jump around w/ the spout still in, as the pcm is controlling advance and retard, thats why you take it out to set timing.

I understand that. I was just curious as to what range the timing should read at idle with the spout in. It seems the computer is giving a hell of a lot of advance.

I really cant answer your ? on the range as ive never even bothered to look while the spout is in. The pcm is going to adjust the timing based an values it recieves from the other sensors, so regardless of what its reading you have no control over it unless you are using a tuning devise to adjust your timing curves.
