Disappointed Dyno

Hey everyone

So I just got my 95 GT convertible back from Mustang Magic in New York. I had the whole engine rebuilt.

306 block, trick flow (cam, valve covers, intake) mac shorty headers, msd ignition system, aeromotive fuel system, 30# injectors, C & L 76 mm mass air meter, 70 mm throttle body and a chip burnt for the car. There are probably some other things i forgot.

So they put it on the dyno and it made 276 rwhp and 295 torque. So is this really what it should make. They said once the engine is broken in that it should make alittle over 300.

Please let me know what you guys think?

Thanks

That is a bit on the low side but I wouldn't get caught up in rear wheel horsepower numbers. They are far from accurate.

you know they have those small 6psi superchargers that give you like 60 hp ... you should look into them because they keep your engine safe because of the low boost, and you can have a pretty radical tune.

what trick flow cam the stage 1 or 2. if stage 1 than those numbers arent far from off. they are low regardless but they shouldnt be too much higher. usually wit the trick flow top end kit people see about 280-290 wheel.

300rwhp sounds about right but you didn't mention whether you have the TFS Street Heat or the Track Heat manifold. If it's Street Heat, your dyno numbers are pretty close to expectation.
