NEW GUY-Needs Help!!!!

I have a 94 GT 5spd. Runs good in the morning after the initial start up. But when i try to start it up again after getting breakfast, i have to keep turning and holding the key for about 10+ seconds before it starts and when it does, it hesitates and runs horribly. Makes me want to kick the tires!!! Only mods are exhaust, MSD coil, MSD dizzy cap and MSD 9mm wires. Any help would be great!!

Your problem is:

My
Spark
Died

It sounds like a heat soak issue of an ignition component and it's most likely to be the coil.

Is there any coil out there better than stock? I guess i may as well change the plugs too. I'm running Bosch platinum Ir fusion. are these any good? All of this was given to me by the previous owner.

also check your fuel pressure... your fuel pump could have issues when it warms up. Don't forget about the ever so popular engine goolant temp switch - it tells the computer how much fuel to start off with. if you hold the pedal to the floor will it start? the reason i ask is that when you hold the pedal to the floor, the computer will use the wide open throttle fuel map and may start. after it kicks, back off the throttle but don't let it go all the way back to idle until it warms up.

Where is the engine coolant switch? what can i do to check the fuel pressure? I don't hold the gas when i try and start it. I do smell gas thru the exhaust when it finally does start.

Get rid of those platinum plugs to begin with 5liters hate them get a set of autolites and be done. Second Have the coil tested to see if its an issue Odds are it isnt. If its only acting up when the car warms up i would look into
Checking the TFI, seems as though your in the early stages of having it go south on ya.

That's the ignition module which sits on the passenger side inner fender below the MAF housing.
