Ok, i got her home this weekend. Thanks to a $100 tow. i noticed it has a Magnaflow cat back system in all stainless.. I love the 2" eibach drop springs> it makes it look sick..

Got my hood and tail lights on. Washed and cleaned up outside and under hood. Put in new battery,spark plugs and plug wires. Put some alcohol in the tank, gas treatment and 10gallons of supreme. It cranked right up too. Ran fine for about an hour then got a check engine light and now it almost dies when you put it in gear and sometimes does..

I am going today and having the motor oil changed (I have a engine cleaner additive in it right now), transmission flushed and radiator flushed.

The power steering pump is whining and barely works. It full of nasty looking fluid. What to do besides replace it?

When i bought the car the guy said the trans was slipping in first gear only

But its not slipping its just very slugish in 1st gear. i think the converter is staying locked up and thats why it dies in first and I have the check engine light.

what you guys think?

Oh and will 275/40ZR17 tires fit in the back with these bullets and not rub?

I would like to add that I am more in love with this car then any other vehicle I have owned(37 total). I went pic crazy with the camera so I am gonna whore out a bunch of pics ..LOL

I had 5 people ask me if i wanted to sell it yesterday> all within about 1 hour of finishing her up..

I am adding a battery kill switch that has a key today. My only other fool proof antitheft idea is get a detachable steering wheel but what about my cruise control?

Try cleaning the MAF sensor and check all the vacuum lines.

Sounds like a nasty woman. Drain as much of the old fluid out as you can and replace it with fresh ATF.

A tranny flush with a new filter and fresh fluid will probably help.

Can't tell you for sure but the 2" drop does make them more likely to rub when the springs are compressed. A good way to find out is to seat two people in the back, put a couple of bags of cement in the trunk, and see how much clearance you have around your existing tires. If it's at least 1" you should be fine.

Thanks for the help..

I bought a $3 siphon pump and emptied out the power steering pump and added new fluid.. i did this about 4 times.. Its not whining near as much.. But now the alternator is, so thats next- along with a new tensioner and idle pulley..

I got a set of BF goodrich G force tires 255/45ZR17 (NEW) installed on the rear for $170 out the door.. They are a lil too tall for me but will work till i can order some 17x10.5 bullits for the back..

Ok, no trans flush was done cause I didnt want to chance the trans.. You know how touchy older trans are.. The converter is staying locked up,I am pretty sure about this.. It dies when trying to creep or stop for speedbumps.. I dont have a check engine light anymore or any codes being thrown.. I dont know what to do now besides dish out the cash for a trans shop...
