sn 95 build pics coming soon

im building a budget sn 95 hoping for 11.70s all motor.
i got a sn95 rolling chasis for 800, guy started but never finished it, nice paint, already has kyb adjustable suspension, 2" drop springs, cam plates, and 4.10 a locker and hawk pads with slotted rotors. just dont have seats
i got a 347 forged short block for a good price, im gonna use e7 ported heads, with 2.10 1.60 valves, and LS valve springs, 1.7 roller rockers, x303 cam, dual plane polished intake, not sure on the carb yet, im thinkin 750dp, and a c4 from tci with a 3kstall goin behind it. all of the parts are spare parts i have except for the new short block and the tci trans.

the engine is getting cam installed and degreed, dist getting locked out, and heads being ported to flow 200cc intake and 180cc ex with the x cam, should be finished tomorrow so ill post some pics of the car and engine, im hoping to have it done by the end of the month because i got to leave for bct pretty soon.

so far all ive done is the wiring for the fuel and ignition system, ran 1/2 fuel line and installed a f250 radiator and a f250 trans cooler.

machine shop just called the motor will be done after 6, but i ran into some probs with the car. had to go to the jy to pull a ignition switch, the previous owner cut it out and i couldnt get power to the dash, headlights etc. without it. so i got that fixed then i found out the brakes and rear turn signals didnt work. got a wiring diagram and noticed the guy took out a piece of body harness that runs power to rear brake lights. so back to the jy to get that harness then to go pick up the motor.

i found alot of cool stuff the previous owner left in the car to, he left a billet roller cam, i took to to a machine shop and they measured the lift, 760 intake and 804 exhaust, a rci fuel tank and a edelbrock air fuel ratio monitor.

pickup up the motor today to, this is what im working with
347 shortblock, procomp forged stroker crank, procomp i beams forged, srp flat top forged pistons. dss main girdle. hv oil pump, 7.5qt oil pan with pickup.
im using some e7 heads i had sittin in the shed, put oversized valves 2.10 1.60 valves, LS double valve springs with damper, and had them ported out. the cam im using is an x303 cam with a 542 lift on in and ex. after the port job these e7 heads are flowing 246.6 at .500lift and 248.1 at .550 lift on intake 177.6at .500 and 182.4 at .550. not to bad for some cast e7 heads. with these heads im making 9to1 compression. im using a mls head gasket and arp head bolts. and some harland sharp 1.7 roller rokers i had sittin around from an old build. also i threw in some noisy gears, i like the way they sound. most the of exterior components i had just sittin on a shelf so i put them to use. some shorty headers, oem water pump i painted, aluminum timing cover, i had a hei style dist so i took it to the engine shop and had the guys there lock it out and wire it for the 6al box, i used a new set of comp cams hardened push rods, valves covers i had, and the intake is a polished dual plane intake made by professional products i got off a friend for 50 busk. i started it on stand to set timing, i used a 600cfm carb to do that but i want a 850dp to run with it. hopefully i can have that next week when i put the engine in.

now im debating on what trans to run, i can use a tci c4 but will have to modify the trans bracket since it is shorter than the aode that the sn95 cam with, also will need a bigger driveshaft, i know this cuz i just finished another sn95 like a week ago. or i can get a rebuilt aode with manual shift kit that cam out the sn95 i just worked on, has maybe 500 miles on it, not even broken in yet, and my friend will give me that one for 250 since i did the work on his car for dirt cheap. and with the aode it with bolt right in and i even got the driveshaft already.

today i made a dash insert out of a piece of plywood i had laying around, i needed it cuz the car was missing it and i needed a way to mount my stereo, switches, and air fuel monitor. and i used plywood cuz i didnt want to spend 80 bucks on a custom insert. here is the new pic i posted up. http://sn95build.yolasite.com/home-made-dash-insert.php

just got the engine dropped in, got all the wiring hooked up and started to adjust valves but one of the rockers wasnt on the center of the valve. pulled the pushrod and noticed it was tweaked a bit. enough to throw the rocker off. so now i gotta order a whole new set cuz they dont sell them singles. but for now im gonna throw on a stock one. till i get the extra money to order the comp cams pro magum pushrod set.
