Water tempature sensor?
Do you know where it is? I have a 95 5.0. I notice that my Temp gauge either doesn't work or is just chillin by the "N" of normal. Then sometimes its by the "O" where I think it should be. I am thinking loose connection or bad sensor. Please someone point it out to me! (Pictures are best)

Facing the front of the car, it's on the right side of the lower intake on the front. It's rite behind the coil.

The temp. gauge sending unit is right at the front of the lower intake on the driver's side behind the coil and distributor. It has a single wire going to it so you can't miss it or mistake it for anything else.
If the gauge nearly always reads cold or is at the cold end of normal, that indicates a high resistance in the circuit. The reason could be either a bad sending unit or a poor connection. Let us know what you find.

![]() Also I have a question about my radiator hoses. I have some hoses left over from my 89 5.0L. Can I use them for my 95? They are brand new never been used. |

Ok so I did find it. It has a single red wire running to an elbow that plugs into a thing thats screwed into the top of the engine. (Sorry I lack technical terms...). I pushed on it and it went down so I guess it was loose.
Question: What is a "Normal" operating temp via temp gauge? Like around the O or M or what? I just threw a new water pump and thermostat in it. =) Donuts here we come! |

hmmmm well I dont use my AC cause well I have never had one! So I just roll down the windows and lose weight! My seems to operate on the colder end of the gauge around the N and O all the time hot or cold outside.

Cool cool. I still may change the sender unit because I can. =p I guess knowing how hot your car is running is a good thing yes?
