Pony Carnage - Hit n' Run

Woke up this morning to my roommate storming into my room yelling "HURRY UP SOME DUDE JUST SMASHED INTO YOUR CAR!" My first thought was this has to be a joke...nope!
Some bone head smashed into my poor 94 pony and riped off the rear spoiler and tore through the convertible top. It looked so sad. And I just bought her some Brembos too, GREAT FREAKING MORNING!
Got my first estimates from the shop and they are saying it is between 60-90% for damage and that they have to submit it for review from USAA. They better catch the guy that did this and better not total!

Any advice to help soothe my worrisome wounds?

damn dude that really sucks. my only recommendation would be to go to your neighbors and see if anybody saw or heard anything and im guessing you live in an apartment so id walk through the complex and look for any cars that could have done the damage

Should have some of the carnage up tonite...it looks like the incredible hulk got very angry and chewed up and spit out my spoiler then tore into my convertible top to see if there was anything inside my car.
How could someone just do this and drive off!?!?!?! Whoever it is should be totally and utterly ashamed and bowe there head to the next person that wants to call them an idiot and smack them!

Sounds like it was a jacked up truck that hit you with its grill guard if it just took off your spoiler and ripped your cloth, but didn't really take off the rear bumper.

hope they catch em.... i had a guy smash out my window and try to steal my radio, couldnt get it out so he jammed a screwdriver in the disc slot... fuckin asshole!!! they caught him a few weeks later in my neighborhood again trying dif cars... hopefully theyll catch the bastard... prolly had no insurance or was drunk or something...

All of that work could probably be done yourself. I would find a junkyard trunk lid, and then buy a top from late model resto for <$300.

Well, I think a THANK THE LUCKY STARS is in order...just got the call from the body shop and they got my repairs just under teh total mark so she is getting fixed! I am so excited to have her back! But in the meantime I'm gonna have some fun in this 2010 Mustang Convertible I'm renting. I'll keep y'all posted if they catch the bastard!

Oh, and LET'S GO GIANTS TODAY! Thought goin to the game would be a great way to get out some frustration and stress form this whole incident!

Would have to have over 9" of lift to run that high on a passenger truck. HAD to of been a box truck or bigger. My trucks don't sit high enough for that, not even if I lifted them another 3", and they are sitting on 35's ...Maybe a 9" lift sitting on 38's or better...but I could defiantly see it being a box truck with one of those lift tailgate things that hang off the back backing in to it...
