GT40P heads 1.7 RR's Valve cover clearance Issues

Just installing my GT40P heads on my 1995 5.0 and put on 1.7 Roller rockers. Now having issues with valve cover clearance...!! Removed baffles and still a no go.. I have a 97 explorer intake to go on the engine as well during this install. Any recommendations on what valve covers to run to get rocker clearance and still clear the upper intake ?? Anyone have this problem before ?? I thought that with removing the baffles I would have clearance.. Guess what I read was incorrect ???
Thanx, Tom

Do you have roller rockers on your heads? I thought about running a half inch spacer and use the tall covers.. would this be enough for clearance ??

What valve covers are u trying to run?? if its the stock 94-95 covers then they will never fit..... the Fox valvecovers work with the baffles removed, i have a set of 84' power by ford valvecovers and the 3/8" metal gasket with no clearance issues...

Looks like I'm going to go with Summit Tall Aluminum covers and will be putting on a 1" spacer from Trickflow. Also putting on a Hood Scoop.. Guess there will be room now !!! lol
Thanx All.

you might run into alternator clearance issues with the tall, I had to modify some frpp talls to clear alternator, im running trick-flow shorts, comp rollers, 585 lift, no clearance problems, will also clear alternator on our sn95's
