Got a problem

It's a 95 mustang 5.0.

The motor was swapped into a base model chassis.

The problem im having is im throwing a code 564 which is a fan circuit malfunction, I cant figure that one out.

Also Im throwing two more codes, both regarding the transmission range sensor.
1. Not in park while the test was run.
2. Above max. voltage.

I replaced the trs and made sure the lines were aligned with neutral and installed while the car is in neutral.

What is happening is while I'm driving the car will randomly shoot up in rpm's and sometimes won't shift and other times will shift up around 4-5k rpms and shift relatively hard.

Any ideas on the problem?

on code 564 it may be your ccrm constant control relay module looks like a little computer in the engine bay by the coolant reservoir on factory setup it controls the cooling fans fuel pump and a lot of other crap (one of fords better ideas lol)

yeah, i just read up on that.

Now for the range sensor codes. I Don't know what to do. What would cause it to read above max. voltage and not in park?

Other information regarding my problem: While I'm driving, foot on the accelerator, the rpm's shoot up for some reason. It feels like it keeps shifting between gears in an odd pattern. I will be cruising a long and then I will shoot up in the 3k rpms before i feel the car start pulling again and 4-5k rpms before it shifts.. if it shifts at all.

The transmission is automatic.

any help at all please.

What you're describing sounds like a transmission range sensor (a.k.a. manual lever position sensor) problem even though you've installed a new one. The shooting up of the rpm is due to the tranny going into neutral. Maybe this link will help:

Troubleshooting the AODE and 4R70W Transmission
