Gt-40P with spacer or Not

I was wondering if anyone has experience with intake plenum spacers and if they actually do anything at all. I know they will increase the runner length and volume of the intake as well as help cool the air but does it make a noticeable difference. If so what size would you have to get in order to notice anything at all 3/8,1/2,1"?

Personally i think 3/4" to 1" would be the best choice... i have a 1 1/2" and 1" spacer and have seen 2" spacers also... i beleive the 1 1/2" and bigger are custom made

I think they help mild to stock motors..

Surely someone else knows more.

I also think they help you being able to remove the valve covers without removing the upper intake

running a phenolic spacer seperates the heat transfer from lower intake to upper plenium, this keeps the intake charge cooler, wich in turn makes more power
