Rear Quarter Panel
Hey everybody,
It's been a while, but with getting out of the military and moving, life sure has been busy. Now that I'm settled, I'd like to seriously get working on the old Mustang. She's a 94 GT Convert. She also, unfortunately, has body damage on the passenger rear quarter panel (gas tank.) I haven't been able to get her down to a body shop (not quite street legal yet,) but just in case shop fees are extraordinarily prohibitive, I was wondering if anyone knew if a quarter panel off a coupe can be used on a convert. Normally, the answer is no, but I was looking at coupe and could swear that it can be done. If anyone has had any experience with this, please let me know. Yes, I know that quarter panel replacement is a whore of a chore. I'm just trying to explore my options. (Mainly because there are so many coupes in the junkyards.)

Bump. Because I can get one for $20 if I cut it out myself. I looked at my friend's 95 coupe and it looks like the the quarter panel and the rear pillar are two seperate things. But come on, $20 bucks for a quarter panel with no rust and only your natural dings from 20 year old car!

Nice pic; thanks for the info. It's all good though, since the guy sold the car anyways. But, I should be picking up a donor 96 vert today for $125; rolling chassis, no much left on it, but the quarter panels are there. Considering if you look up quarter panels on latemodelrestoration.com it would cost me over a $1,000 for it, I'd say 125 ain't bad for two. Plus, depending on what's left of the car, I may be able to either scavenge a few things for my car, or just sell some stuff on ebay.
