What's the best way to go
With my old motor out and the new motor almost in. I find my self thinking of what I want to do with the old one had to pistons go bad found a good deal on a used motor with 22000 miles on it so I switched them lol. The cylinder walls are in great shape (could not belive it) one piston was shatterd and the other was scared badly (no wonder I lost compression lol) So I think I will stroke it thinking 331 from Flatlander Racing - SCAT SB Ford Cast Stroker Kit/Rotating Assembly 9-302-3400-5400-2123 and a trick flow upper set up Trick Flow Specialties TFS-K514-360350B - Trick Flow® 360 HP Twisted Wedge® Top-End Engine Kits for Ford 5.0L - Overview - SummitRacing.com what do you guys think. I will post some pics of the nuked pistions when I get to my pc. As always thank you to all who answer

As for the top end, go off the kit as a guideline but build your own combo. Make sure you have full supporting mods ie: injectors, mass, TB, CAI Exhaust, then get a good intake manifold and head / cam combo. The kit is great if you don't know anything about building combos, but if you do some research you will find you might want to get the race intake manifold over the street burner... you might want to go for FAC 190 heads over the 170's. If you get 170's go for the TFS-51400004 cause they come with dual springs and can handle up to .600 lift cams otb and its only 100 bucks more. Me I went with a Race 75mm intake with 12" runners, 51400004 heads and a stage 2 cam with full supporting mods and 1.6 rockers. One day I will get a custom cam from Jay and stroke the car and port and polish the heads to flow for the stroker.
I haven't done a stroker yet so I cant coment on that.. Good luck Sir!
