How awesome would it be if...
I could get my hands on a new 5.0 motor from the 2011 and put it in my 95...the last year of the 5.0....
I will accept donations. no amount is too large.

The new 5.0 is an awesome engine but it leaves very little room for more N/A bolt-on power. It can't be stroked either so that only leaves forced induction as the route to a serious power increase, and you'd need to replace the stock powdered metal rods plus the 11.0:1 compression hypereutectic pistons to do that.
You're better off building a 331 or 347 stroker out of the old pushrod 5.0 and get more power than a stock new 5.0, while still leaving room for a blower.

i see your point about the high compression it comes with..
im sure it would like some boost...whats the block rated at?

If im not mistaken whipple has something in the works already for the new 5.0 that will push it into the 600+ hp catagory. What more would you need. Heck it would take one stout strocker with a power adder to get ya in that range any way.

oh come on man...i love foxes, dont get me wrong, but putting the new 5.0 in the last 5.0 makes perfect sense. i imagine we will see this in 5.0 or MMFF in the next year.
