Downsloping dragway? Driver mod? Low air temp/ low humidity? Witchcraft?

I've seen middle to high 14 sec SN95 5.0's almost stock with an excellent driver. It's not unheard of... In stock form i've heard of about 15 @ 90mph.

1994 Ford Mustang GT 6.7 15.1.
+Intake and UDP
Exhaust? Cated?
Headers?
Tires?
Tune?
Gears?
Clutch?
I'm pretty sure that 15.1 was ran on stock tires...

A tune, tires, UDP, and intake making a .6 second difference? It sounds ok... Possibly a better driver than who annouced the Mustangs time...
You must take into account that someone that drives the car everyday will obviously drive it better than a few times like what was annouced.

My best run ever was a 14.3 on Michelin Pilot tires, stock engine with only CAI, timing bumped up to 14 I'm sure with 93 octane and 3.73 gears on a nice night, like 75 degrees.

my 94 gt ran a 14.5 at 94 with only an O/R H-pipe, SLP LM1 catback, with 315/35R17 Nitto 555's(non drag radial) out back on a florida night in may which was probably in the 80s and a decently high humidity

anything is possible......

car can be modded and owner doesn't even know it.... i've seen people put gears in cars only to count the teeth on the old set to find them to be the same.....

It's really not that hard with a 5.0 to run 14's on a good night with some good shifts

Sorry but I'm not buying it . Even if he had the '99-'04 3.8 V6 that packed 190hp, it could only run high 15's at best in stock form. That means it must have either had several mods to run 14.5's or it must have had a stock 4.6 V8 (260hp PI) instead.

It is very well possible I know guys here in Ohio with mostly stock 5 speeds that run 13's all day. My car only has mufflers and a fresh top-end rebuild with new gaskets timing chain etc. All Ford replacement parts and I bet it runs a high 13 or low 14 as she sits in street tires. I would almost assume too that his timing is advanced quite a bit. If it pings without 93 it's probably at least 16-20 degrees of timing in it. I know everyone says not to go above 14 or so but, You can gain crazy power advancing it that far!
