AC,shifting,stereo questions.

Well, I have a 1994 Mustang GT with around 169k miles.
It is my first car.
I am in love
Well the previous owner installed an aftermarket stereo and completely like fucked all the wires so now only the very back speakers work. It kind of sucks, should I take this to a pro?
Since I have had the car I have replaced the Distributor, starter, and serpentine belt. Along with 2 routine oil changes.
Well anyways, My windows are kind of failing now. They like go up to a certain height(every time it is different) and make this weird noise and then I have to pull it up. Any ideas on how to fix?
Also My Car runs really hot. It says "normal" on the gauge but it pushes to M all the time. The A/C is broken (shoots air but not cold). I am thinking it is possibly a Thermostat problem?
One last thing, When I shift through the gears sometimes I have to push the gearshift really hard into the gear, mostly first and reverse does this. And when I am puttin along I go from 1-2-3-4- and then If I shift at 2000 rpms I get this gross ping put ping ping noise and it keeps going and I don't really accelerate fast untill I reach 55. So I usually just shift out of 4th to 5th at around 2500 but is this a serious problem?
Tell me what I need to fix so I can make a parts list.
Thank you so much!

Well your gear problem is a synchro problem or a clutch problem. Take it to a transmission shop and get it looked at. i had the same problem in my other stang. you may just need to charge the ac with r134(or 5 forget which one)a coolant.

i would change the thermo stat and check your water pump. If it looks old replace it.

you can run new wires to your front speakers. shouldn't be that hard.

Pull the door panels off and check the window regulators. The moving joints might just need lubricating.

M on the gauge is only ~208*F so that's normal. It's the point at which the low speed fan is triggered to switch on.
The AC may just need to be recharged with new refrigerant. I doubt that the t'stat is a problem.

Sounds like your clutch cable might need adjusting. Hopefully that's all it is and not worn synchros.

No. If you shift out of 4th at 2000rpm, the rpm drop to 1300 in 5th gear and you're lugging the engine. Keep in mind that 55mph in 5th with stock gearing is only 1500rpm. Shifting at 2500rpm in 4th drops the rpm in 5th to 1650 which will give you better acceleration.
