cant get my radio to work

ok heres the deal i have the mach radio system in my car all of my speakers are hooked up i bought an aftermarket head unit i bought the wiring harness to hook directly to my car the head unit turns on and acts like its playing but no sound comes out can anyone help

It's not on mute is it? (JK) Anyways, check for loose ground and that your installation kit is actually making a good connection with the factory harness. Another thing you could try is connecting it to the other set of connectors; there should be two, one for the stock radio and one for the stock CD player.

yeah i got the harness that hooks my stock cd player into the stock radio ive tried it with that and with out it both gave me the same result i also took all of my speakers out disconected them and reconnected them.

what if i just ran wires seperate from my speakers just straight to the head unit and completely bypassed the factory amps in the back?
