Timing gears vs Timing chains

Just wondering if anyone has ever used this (or like item)

Summit Racing SUM-G6711 - Summit Racing® Gear Drives - Overview - SummitRacing.com

I think my timing chain might be getting a bit loose, so if I have to replace, why not go for the upgrade?

Haven't used them personally, I hear that gear setups are *really* noisy, though.

They are noisy but a cool sounding noisy in my opinion, but when I asked about doing a gear drive I was told that it was not a good idea, just to go with a double roller chain. Something about the harmonics causing problems. Darrell is the one that told me so I took his word on it, but don't remember the reasoning behind it that he explained. maybe he will see this and add to it.
