95 5.0 Dead Cylinder
I just purchased a 95 GT Cont. Think I have a dead cylinder just trying to decide what I should do and what kind of prices I would be looking at. Rebuilt or overhaul or if there are other less invasive measure. The interior and exterior are in great shape and I paid very little so I think I have some wiggle room. Any suggestions or ideas would be great.

Welcome to the site, if you got a dead cylinder (and you are sure) I would go ahead and yank the motor out, send it off to get cleaned, bored, and checked. Then go with forged internals and whatever H/I you decide to go with

1st do a compression test ,2nd check your wire(s) and plug(s),3rd make sure your injector(s) are working. you should check all this before you throw money around you dont have to.If you have to rebuild get forged pistons,Scat i beam rods(rated to 750hp) ,nitrided crankshaft,anything more like a forged crank and h beam rods are overkill and will add extra weight to the rotating assembly and waste your money cuz the block would split at 450-500hp.
