ok well, i found that the part number is from a 1993 5.0 would this cause the idle to dance and chug?? should i now check my cars computer to make sure nobody swapped it ?

i need help here, i'm trying to buy a c&l 76mm maf but they reuse the sensor that i would have, so if this isn't originally from the car, it may not work correct??

don't buy a C&L. they are complete crap. save your money and buy a maf that is actually worth a damn.

recalibration is great if you are going to be swapping injectors on a daily basis. Otherwise, I prefer to use OEM ford electronics.

Great example... the 80mm Cobra maf.

but then again. I have access to tuning and can swap out whatever parts I want, whenever I want.

*facepalm* idk why I put myself through this.

for starters, the 93 cobra had a 70mm maf, so did the 94-95.
the maf you would want is from a 99+

I have the C&L 76mm MAF that's calibrated for 19lb injectors and it works just fine. Needless to say I'm also running the stock injectors.

and making stock-ish HP.

lets just say the C&L didnt fare too well on my 347 stroker. Nor the 95 GT i was tuning... or the 92LX that I did a head swap on.

I wouldn't wish a C&L on my worst enemy.

oh, an i wasn't sayin the 80mm was from the 93, it just says it'll work for that year, i'm guessing that just means it would need modified....

If you know the MAF transfer rate for the meter and have access to the ecm you can pretty much make any meter work. If your refering to the C&L for a fox its just a mater of getting the correct sample tube. The problem with the c&L meters is they arent very accurate and have been known for reaking havoc on modified cars.

well thats good to know, glad i didn't fork that money out yet, but pretty much i've got a dss 306 with afr 185's and an x303 cam, i'm converting it from carb to fuel injection with a different car, i've already got the trickflow track heat upper and lower, and a pro products 75mm throttle body, i just really need healthy injectors and a maf to take it, again, my plan is to try and find 30's with an 80mm sensor anyone got an idea of where to get a matching set for a decent price??

PMAS is basically PRO-M .......when they went out a few years ago some of the top guys started a new company. Pretty much a PRO-M in a round about way
