Milage Help.

My 95' GT got really good milage about two weeks ago and all of the sudden since yesterday its been just guzzling gass like a Hummer. What might be causing this loss in milage? It still has factory wires and plugs and all the stuff you usually chage when you go for a tune up (not the computer kind) and it has a little over 99,000 miles on it so could that be the problem since all the motor stuff is still what was put on at the factory? Oh, and would running premium gas instead of regular be the cause?

It might be about time for a tune up,cap,rotor, wires,plugs,AF,FF,PCV.
Dont use premium unless its setup for it.Buy regular and spend some money on 5-30Synthetic oil to free up alittle more gas mileage

Be aware of rollin' a synthetic oil with that many miles. If you have even the smallest of small leaks, the oil will find it and squirt like a stuck artery.

I suggest doin' a motor flush and using Valvoline MaxLife and a quality filter. Don't need a K&N. A Purolator PureOne or the NAPA Gold.

I changed the oil and put in Castrol GTX when I got it about two weeks ago. And since its most likely not setup for premium then running premium in it would actually hurt milage? And what did the abreviations jason list mean (Im sure I would know what the part is I just cant make any connection to the abbreviations).

LMAO!!! Its cool bro lol

10w30 oil is what you should be runnin'

AF=Air Filter
FF=Fuel Filter
PCV=Positive CrackCase Ventilation Valve

Premimum fuel burns cooler. If you have low compression or are N/A, its not necessary for you to impliment a cooler bruning fuel to help w/ detonation. It is not burning completely. Hence= lower MPG
