Need advice on a motor build!!!!
I have a 302 .030 over. I am going to build a 347 butnot sure what heads to put on it. It is going to be a DD and might see the track once in a blue moon. Is there a big difference performance wise between GT40P's and Edelbrocks? Or should i stay with iron heads cause its going to be a DD? Any suggestions would help!!

You want a good flowing head for a 347. Any stock type head will choke it and it will be a dog. It depends on what edelbrock heads you are taking about, some are junk and some are good heads. You get what you pay for. You also don't want to do heads without an intake and cam to match.

Well, you can get GT40s in iron if you're convinced it's better for a DD, though I'd stick with aluminum for the weight savings and better heat transfer.
For heads, I'd go Trick Flow or AFR, especially on a stroker.
