depends on the tune, and what supporting mods you do along with the kit.

try not to admit that.... ever.
when the car is finished, bring it to an experienced dyno tuning shop.

i too sadly was a lost little honda boy at one time so dont feel bad.
but depending on how old your engine is and how hard you drive it but around 5-7psi is safe. i have a friend who has a 1997 camaro Z/28 he also put a turbo on it and he has 150,000 miles on it and he didnt rebuild it. the only problem he has is keepin rear tires on it

also keep in mind u have a T5 tranny and that tranny is prolly gonna give out before the engine will
those T5's unrebuilt are only rated for 277 ft.lbs. of torque brand new. honestly unless your hardcore drag racing, you would really enjoy a supercharger better they arent as hard on your engine at 8.5-9 psi and you have torque rite off the bottom end which you dont get from a turbo. plus they are a lot cheaper and wont run your engine into an early grave!

misinformation at it's best.
superchargers put more of a load on the engine simply because the engine is going to try and break the snout off of the crank because of the load put on it by the s/c. boost is boost either way you cut it. too much pressure and you're askin for it on an engine that isn't properly prepped for it.. |
