Water Pipe Gasket?

I took my water pipe (that the radiator hose connects to) off, and the gasket just peeled off. I went and got another one at autozone and put it in, and it is leaking HORRIBLY. Do I need more than one gasket? Or should I just seal it shut with quiksteel?

use a little Permatex® Black Silicone Gasket along with a new gasket from autozone..should be fine..although i bought a cheap ass chrome one that would leak no matter wtf i did...

you need to remove all of the old gasket material off, clean both surfaces very good.

then use BLUE permatex, not black. along with anew gasket.
