Ordered some lowering springs...one question

I finally ordered some H&R springs. I've heard some good things about them. My question is whether or not I need to use the poly isolators? I feel like I remember some people saying they did not use them and it lowered the car another 1/2" or so. Not that I would need it to be even lower, but I was just wondering if the isolators are needed? Thanks

No, not really. I left mine out to get it as low as possible. It's more for vibration I hear then anything else.

Vita was over at my place with his 99 Cobra complaining of a lot of front end noise and harshness. It ended up the previous owner put the springs in without the isolators. I had an extra set laying around so we put those in, it cured the issues. We didn't do a before and after for ride height, but it did raise the front just a little bit.

If this is a street car I would recommend using the isolators.

On that note, anyone know where to get some thinner isolators? I put the Bullitt springs in the wife's 94GT and the front sits a little higher than the rear.

I have some family in Fargo, but not really know. I've gone out and visited a few times, but besides that, I've never really had a reason to. Its only about 3 hours from here...not too bad. But why go some place colder than where I live? haha. What's up in Fargo? Have any good shows or anything out there?

You just missed our All Ford show along with a show at Culver's this last weekend. I don't know what else is going to be going on here besides a few people coming down to race at Interstate Dragways on the 25th. Check out the North Dakota thread under the midwest region...
