a few months ago i put 4.10 gears in my stock mustang. it is the aode transmission. they worked out great. but, lately when i drive in town its been acting up. its more when im on the throttle and let off. pretty much in morning work traffic. it will sometimes kick me out of the gear im in, like downshifting, but really hard. sometimes hard enough it will get the back tires to chirp.

for the most part though i do not think my tranny is going out. because my reverse works fine and when i step on it, it has no problem getting to go and still pulls hard.

i talked to a guy at amcco and he said something about it being an electrical problem. that since nothing else was done when i did the gears, that its throwing it off electrically. anyone have any ideas or suggestions? would u think a shift kit might help? mk2?.. u seem to have an answer for most things.

A shift kit won't solve that problem but it's worth installing anyway. What might solve your problem is a tranny fluid and filter change, and you can do those while the pan's off to install the shift kit.
I also highly recommend adding an external tranny fluid cooler.

yes they all would make it much better, i just hope i still dont have the same problem

You might want to get your TPS checked 'cause it can produce similar symptoms if it's acting up.
